The $8,000 First Time buyer is still available to some buyers!!!

For most of us here in Greater Cincinnati, the $8,000 refundable tax credit for first time buyers and $6500 for “move-up” buyers has been long gone.  It is also the opinion of most that it may never return in our lifetime.  However, there are a few home buyers among us that truly deserve and extension of this powerful benefit that the rest of us took advantage of last year.

Tax Credit Gift CardUncle Sam has extended the tax credit for members of the Military, Intelligence and Foreign Service who have served outside of the U.S. for at least 90 days between January 1, 2009 and May 1, 2010.  Qualifying buyers have until April 30, 2011 to get a completed sales contract and then, must close it by June 30, 2011.  The bonus that comes with this tax credit is that the recapture of the tax credit doesn't apply if the qualified service member receives government orders to move prior to the three year residency period completion.  For additional information, go to IRS.gov.

From VA loans to available tax credits, nobody is more on top of the benefits available to active and veteran military home buyers than our team.   There's more to finding the "Right" home than driving around looking at houses.  The Jason Bowman Team can help you make better decisions to help you understand the tax advantages, financing alternatives and investment aspects of homeownership.
